Molly saying this to Forrest was a very desperate act because the truth is that Forrest actually has a path to break free of Molly. Forrest now has the opportunity to stay with Sheena and, learn about her culture. Sheena's family can help instill a work ethic in Forrest that doesn't exist when he's around his mother. It's been drilled in Forrest's head that he is disabled because of his autism. That is the biggest lie Molly has told him!

An Emmy Worthy Episode

The last episode of the Before The 90 days deserves an Emmy! I have been laughing for two days about the ridiculous shenanigans of these folk! A few moments: 1) Lisa saying that lady stopped messaging because she was jealous of her And Daniel! DELUSIONAL 2) That flea market fake-blue eyed lion! 3)The uncle saying “ don’t laugh again”…😂😂 4) the stunned look that Michael had on his face when he realized that Laura is bat shit crazy! 5) Zaid smirk when he realizes he was going to drop Emma! 6) How quickly that Uber got up there in the desert! 7)The beautiful pic of Dev eating cotton fruit with no teeth! 8)Sheena and Forrest get the balls to stand up to Molly! An amazing episode!! TLC knows how to get people coming back for more!!

WTF!?! With this scamming family.

I can’t stand this freeloading family. She was making a stink about how Sheena was holding off on her own finances, when meanwhile, Forest has no money?!?! Molly has no money. And, isn’t his mom Molly, the one who’s also making decisions for her son? Sheena’s dad stood up for her. He said that usually it’s the man who helps pay for the wedding. The fact that the dad said that they should be married to share an account, makes so much sense. I hope Sheena doesn’t fall for this ridiculous family. Sheena has a job and Forest doesn’t. Sheena’s lies about money.

Just watching the family meal where Sheena is being hung out to dry and it seems obvious to me why she lied. Societal expectations seem to be that the man will provide for his wife and I suspect Sheena has been letting her family think Forest has been looking after her financially throughout their relationship, so that they respect him. Meanwhile giving the family the impression that her salary is income that she can put into the family business. It still absolutely sucks that Forest and particularly Molly are trying to control where this adult woman puts her money! She earned it, it’s entirely her choice! The fact that Forest has zero income isn’t her responsibility and he was very quick to assure her father that he could and would work. What are the odds that it’s Molly who’s been telling him he’s not capable of work, for all these years? I hope he moves to the Philippines, to escape her clutches, I’m sure that they’d be much happier there.

i didn’t expect forrest to have such a strong backbone, which i hope doesn’t come across as offensive. many men and women on 90 day fiance do whatever they’re told by their families (chantal of chantal x pedro) but for forrest to stand up to molly and give her an ultimatum made me so proud of him! i hope he makes sheena happy.

Molly, while thinking she is being protective, is overbearing and also doesn't treat Forrest with respect. To be so whiny and sniveling to him is SO immature! Her voice and words sound like they come from a petulant 15 year old. Maybe if she talked to him like the grown man he is, she would get better communication with him. I am glad that Forrest stood his ground. Good luck to him and Sheena!

I’m assuming this is going to be answered next week, but I’ve been wondering from the very beginning how forest can possibly sponsor Sheena. Don’t they have to prove that they can take care of the person they are bringing over? Clearly if he is surviving on Social Security benefits, that can’t be enough to support another person. I’m assuming that’s one of the reasons that they have to please Molly… It’ll be interesting to see.

If Forrest Gump was 32 in 1994, did Molly name her son after the movie’s character? And if so, what might that suggest about her motives?

If that were true, it raises questions about her intentions from the beginning, since the movie was hugely popular and culturally influential at the time. Of course, the name could also be a coincidence or inspired by something else entirely. It also makes me think about cases like Gypsy Rose, where a parent pushed an illness narrative onto a child for attention and financial gain. I am not claiming that is happening here, but it raises an interesting question about expectations parents place on their children early on. In 90 days especially, it sometimes seems like those early narratives or identities given to the kids end up shaping how their lives unfold later, influencing their self-perception and the expectations they carry into their relationships. I’m curious if anyone sees a connection between Forrest's disability and Molly's behavior.

Understanding for Molly

I know that Molly has gotten a lot of hatred and I understand why, but the last episode gave me a different perspective on her. She was saying how Forrest has gotten himself in bad situation before, and she had to help him and that she doesn’t want to do it again. Honestly it can be very frustrating when someone you love and care about keeps making decisions that will hurt them in the future. And it is especially difficult when you know that you will have to pick up the prices afterwards. I think for her and his sake of mind she should just take a step back and let him make his own decisions and deal with the consequences of his actions. I am still not a fan, but if before it seemed like she was too controlling and mean, now I can see that perhaps she herself is very scared of what might happen again. Edit: I think a lot of people are missing the point about the money discussion. Of course Sheena can do whatever she wants with the money that she earns. The problem is that she *said* she is saving money for something that concerns her future with Forrest, but that was actually not true. Imagine how you would feel if your partner keeps telling you for years they are saving money so you can buy a house together, but in the end it turns out they are lying. The lying is the problem- had she been upfront about the money situation from the beginning it would have been a different story.

I am watching season 5 ep 7, I just can not stand how oblivious Molly is too the fact Kensley does not like Luis, and yet she forces him to play with her and forces Kensley to interact with Luis, Especially after his comments to Olivia, HUGE red flag and I would not be leaving any of my children with a person like Luis, or did they just get a bad edit?   submitted by   /u/GlitteringShame444 [link]   [comments]

Why did Jovin tell Big Head to ask Liz permission to go to the strip club but not tell the other women?

Alright so spoilers for Last Resort S1 in case anyone hasn't seen it yet. Early on in the season Jovin says he knows a stripper in the area and asks if Kelly and Asuelu want to go to her club. They say yes. Now we know that Molly is somewhat OK with this because Kelly said so and we all saw Luis' bachelor party at Magic City. "Death of the single life. Oh ma gah." Also, apparently Asuelu said Kalani once gave him permission to go on his birthday but he didn't for some reason. Regardless he was way to happy to go knowing his marriage was on the brink of a divorce. Then we have Jovin who got slapped by his wife the last time he went. Knowing this they make an agreement not to tell the women about it. This is all fine until Jovin decides to be nice to Big Head for some reason and invite him under the same stipulation that he not tell Liz. He immediately does and the following day tells the guys that he did. To this Jovin has the dumbass idea of telling him to call Liz and ask for permission to go but to tell Liz to not tell the other women as if that's at all plausible. I don't get it? Liz already knows. We know damn well ain't no way she's just going to keep that to herself and on top of all that Jovin tells him to call her while all the women are out together so obviously the women are going to be right next to her during the call.
