There is not one couple who I hope makes it this season… long post!

These season 12 couples… OH. MY. GOD! Where to start?? Catie and Josh… first of all, she needs serious therapy, actually they both do. But it’s ridiculous that he stays when she can’t stay sober enough to not make out with people! What’s wrong with him that he stays with her? And then she’s so irresponsible, but she wants to tell him that they can’t have a table or chairs and makes him sleep on a disgusting twin mattress. Like I get if finances are tight, but at least get some lawn chairs and a fold out table! Sitting on a yoga mat on a hard floor? They’re adults! Does he not have any money or savings?! Can he pay for anything? Mallorie and Rașit… at first I thought they were genuinely in love, and maybe they are, but I think they come from very different cultures and at this point can Rașit move past her still being friends with an “ex” fuck buddy? I also feel like he gave up a lot to come and live in RURAL Alabama. Which nothing against it, but he was a boat captain and is used to having family and friends and places he can go and now he will be very isolated. That seems like a recipe for disaster and disappointment. Shea and Anabel… I mean he’s an alcoholic and serial cheater. So far Anabel seems reasonable and I hope that she leaves him and goes home. I feel like she was tricked and lied to into coming to the states. Debby and Mido… he obviously doesn’t love her and she’s so desperate that she will settle for abuse. He is a selfish prick and a LIAR and scammer. Pretty sure the consensus is that he’s a nobody, he’s not famous in Egypt. And he’s obviously a narcissist, like truthfully he is so self centered and self important. He isn’t even good at acting like he likes Debby. It’s really sad because she is letting herself be taken advantage of. He doesn’t care about her at all, she was his ticket to “fame and fortune” in the US. Ashia and Maxwell… she seems batshit, the religion is fine, but the speaking in tongues on national television?! She just strikes me as crazy every time she is on my screen! I also think it’s crazy of her to demand he change so much about himself, like that she thinks he needs to fix his skin, work out, and fix his teeth. She loves the idea of him, but it doesn’t seem like she loves the actual person. I don’t have much of an opinion on him yet. Thomas and Paula… I’m not really sure how this is going to work with her being vegan and him being paleo. And then he’s definitely a minimalist while she is a maximalist! But he needs to grow up and get a real table and chairs. 🙄 Marissa and Edward… she seems very controlling and he seems like a masculine/more dominant type of guy. I don’t think they’re well matched and I feel like she thinks of herself as superior to him because she is more financially established. But we will see I suppose!
